High-Waist Jeans and a Crop Top

High-Waist Jeans
High-Waist Jeans and a Crop Top –

Today I am partnering with Zappos to give you some tips on wearing one of my favorite trends and introduce you to new online shopping destination The Style Room at zappos.com. The Style Room is for us who need one destination to shop for all our favorite labels from Free People to Stuart Weitzman. It’s also the perfect place to find an outfit for New Years Eve if you’re still looking. Plus they have super fast shipping and a 365 day return policy. You can’t beat that!

If there is one trend that took a while to grow on me it’s high-waist jeans. I love them now obviously but they just seemed weird at first. I guess it was the years of “how low can you go” low-rise jeans. I actually prefer my jeans to have a mid to high-waist now as they are very flattering, even on us shorties since they extend the length of your legs. High-waist jeans are also the perfect thing to wear with another trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and that’s the crop top. If you ever feel that you can’t wear one because you are uncomfortable showing the skin on your stomach then just pair your crop top with something that has a high-waist, and voilà! Problem solved.

These 7 for all Mankind high-waist jeans are amazing, very 70’s. I love the boho-glam look so I paired them with a cropped Free People top that has wide bell sleeves and an Argyle printed cross-body bag by Vera Bradley. These jeans are also super long so until I get them hemmed I am wearing them with the highest shoes in my closet, my Zara platform sandals, which was perfect actually since they worked with the outfit’s vibe. Gold accessories finished off the look with these Lanvin sunglasses and the light pink pendant around my neck.

If you need an idea for something pretty and eye-catching to wear for the New Year check out this dress by StyleStalker. I think it would look great with these Dolce Vita red Isabel heels for a pop of color. Another idea, this Rachel Zoe tweed dress is perfectly sparkly for the holiday and would be extra eye-catching with the Schutz Eliss heels. I still have yet to pick out something myself but will definitely be checking out all the options at The Style Room because like I mentioned earlier, you just cannot beat the 365 day return policy. It allows you to buy multiple options and send back whatever you don’t use. Perfect if like me you are also indecisive.

I love mid-high to high wasted jeans too! Mainly because it helps hide the little bit of “pooch” in the front, hahaha! But anyway, you pull those flares off so well; and paired with that crop top, you’re totally rocking that 70’s vibe!

can be very proud of her study habits. Scoring 55/55 points on the “Fossils and Energy” quiz showed her understanding of the words and her dedication to studying.
