I love pastels, even in the Winter. You just need to know how to rock these Spring-like colors all year-long. And if you think you can’t wear these pastel colors to the office, think again. I am going to show you how to wear pastels to the office and beyond!
My first look consists of a pretty, light blue embroidered poncho by Lady R. Sidenote: If you haven’t heard of Lady R yet than boy are you in for a treat. This site is new to me as well and besides being based out of India (super fast shipping, BTW), they hand-embroider their pieces. What they sell is basically, hand-made, genuine, Indian clothing. They really have some amazing options but I decided on two of their beautiful tops. For this first look, I took the top and added navy blue cropped trousers, a pair of black suede pumps, and an office appropriate watch. Obviously the fedora is optional, it really just depends on what your office culture is like. For this outfit I liked the idea of pairing the feminine top with more masculine extras which s perfect if you work with men.
Now for the second look of how to wear pastels in the office I loved the idea of a Winter white outfit. This one is definitely on the more feminine side but that doesn’t matter, it should really just come down to one question. Are you more a slacks woman or do you prefer skirts? So I paired this Lady R 3D flower organza top with a white wool midi skirt, a white blazer (it doesn’t get more office appropriate than that!), and a pair of off-white pumps. When you are going for a tonal outfit one thing to keep in mind is the texture of the pieces and the color. When wearing one color head-to-toe you want to mix up the materials and wear different shades within the same color family. What do you think about wearing pastels to the office?
