Sailor Chic in Madewell Boyfriend Jeans

Sailor Chic in Madewell Boyfriend Jeans

tank: Target, denim: Madewell, heels: Zara, necklace (similar)and bag: H&M, sunglasses: Chloe

One of my favorite things about Birmingham is Mountain Brook. Mountain Brook consists of different areas they refer to as Villages (Mountain Brook Village, Crestline Village and English Village) and those are my favorite areas to shop and explore. They’re just so beautiful and make you feel like you stepped onto the streets of Europe. The pictures above were taken in Mountain Brook Village by a Birmingham fine arts and portrait photographer Mary Catherine Fehr.

For this shoot I decided to lean towards a more casual look with my new Madewell boyfriend jeans that I found on sale, then came the striped tank, and the red pumps for color, and my new favorite necklace from H&M. I’m pretty obsessed with this lariat since you can get really creative with it. I went to a local event called Art on the Rocks (pics to come) and wore a backless red dress and wore the necklace backwards so it was hanging down my back but you can really do so many things with it. I just didn’t realize until seeing the photos how sailor-inspired my outfit looked. Oh well, it still works, Happy Wednesday!

I love the outfit :). My favorite part is the red pumps! I wear a lot of black and white, so I try to add a bit of red. Normally in my handbag choice.

That bag would weigh a ton if I carried it around. The bigger the bag the more I tend to cram into it.

I love the look! The pop of red shoes is probably my favorite part, but I’m always partial to the clean and slimming look of white denim.
