Spring Came Early – Spell & the Gypsy Collective

The weather down South is crazy right now! At the time of these pics it was in the low 60’s but now we are back into cooler temps so I took advantage of the warmer weather and busted out my semi-new Spell maxi dress.

The slits are a bit higher than I had originally thought so I’m thinking this dress works best on us petite gals. It really is a gorgeous dress though; the print and colors are beautiful as is the length and the back which is backless which I love! Also the sleeves are flared which really fits in well with my love for the 70’s looks that are popular for the Spring-Summer season that’s ahead of us.

dress: Spell & the Gypsy Collective, heels: B Brian Atwood (very similar), necklace: Kendra Scott, hand-chain: Velina Jewelry, sunglasses: Triple Graces
When I posted my love for the new Zara campaign the comments had mixed reviews, some people love the Boho look and others don’t which is completely fine as I know this trend is not for everyone but I do know it’s definitely right up my alley. What’s your view on this trend? Do you love it or hate it?

Hey you’re just like all the other gypsy kids out there! Oh wait …. real bohemians & gypsies can’t afford $400 dresses, lol. This is what all the trendy rich kids wear who have too much money and not an OUNCE of gypsy in them. Pick that perfect outfit for the next Beyoncé festival and maybe you can Instagram your trendy boho get-up while you sit in the VIP lounge sipping $65 bottles of water, watching Beyoncé, and feeling oh so edgy! 😀 Seriously guys, come on. Real bohemia, true vintage, and authentic 70’s style awaits at your nearest thrift store for a tenth of the price! Don’t be scammed by a trendy advertising ploy, and get eco-friendly by recycling wonderful one-of-a-kind stuff while you’re at it! Unless of course you’re obsessed with trends and labels…. sigh.

Hey, I’m only 5’3 but you’re right, they usually come too long. This one’s great because I didn’t have to hem it or anything.

I am in love with this dress and all the colors! If only, it wasn’t freezing and snowing right now.

Thanks Kate! Love the dress but the slits are higher than I would have liked. I may sew them together a bit so I’m not showing off my knickers!
