To Hell in a Handbag’s Best of 2014 & Happy 2015! – Well, my first full year in  Birmingham seems to have gone by pretty fast. Lot’s of exciting things happened in 2014. I’ll try to go in chronological order…To start with I was asked to be a judge in 2014’s Miss Teen Birmingham which I was so looking forward to but due to scheduling conflicts I had to back out, so fingers crossed for next year!

May through June 2014 (see posts: Flamenco and Romper Room)
July 2014 (see posts: MeowPoison, Pattern MixingFP Me Comes to Birmingham)
August and September 2014 (see posts: Industrial, Saks BCBG Fashion Show, and Field of Dreams)
September 2014 (see posts: Street Walking, Skinny Denim & Studded Shoes,
October and November 2014 (see posts: Georges Marciano is Back, Hashtags & a Poodle, and
December 2014 (see posts: Killin’ It and Happy (belated) Thanksgiving)

I was chosen to appear in Birmingham’s local mag B-Metro’s Beauty Book 2014 as one of the ten most beautiful in Birmingham which was just an incredible honor and so much fun. I attended my very first Fashion Week as a member of the press here in Birmingham and hope to one day make it to NYFW. I joined a couple local bogging groups such as See Jane Write and Bham Bloggers which are amazing for getting to know other bloggers in mine (or your) area. Free People’s FP ME came to Birmingham and asked me to take part in a local photo shoot that was up on their blog, so much fun! I had the chance to work with exceptional, local photographers for my blog and each and every one of them was so different but amazingly good at what they do. I also had the opportunity to walk in two different fashion shows at our local Saks Fifth Avenue this year which was fun but nerve-wracking since I’m not a Runway Model, so walking in front of all those people gave me anxiety in the worst way (over-exaggerating but y’all know what I mean). I worked with some really cool brands and local shops as well as the chance I had to interview Rebecca Minkoff. I would have to say, as far as my blogging career(?) goes, 2014 was amazing and I can only hope 2015 will be even better.

Happy New Years from us at To Hell in a Handbag!
