Petite? Here’s How to Wear Culottes –

One trend that I love and that is here to stay are culottes and as a borderline petite person I know from personal experience how difficult these short pants can be for us small women to wear. So today I am going to show you how to wear culottes when you barely reach 5’4″.

Now if you are petite like me let me give you my opinion on how to wear culottes. First off you want to make sure that the length isn’t too long or it might look like you are wearing wide-leg trousers that are at a very wrong length. You want them short enough to show off your fabulous heels! And yes, I apologize to any petite ladies that prefer flats but if you want to wear culottes then heels are your friend! They give us that extra bit of height we so desperately need when wearing something that is already tricky to pull off. If you are comfortable enough, try wearing these pants with a crop top. That added sliver of skin will keep you from looking too squat. Here I am wearing a cropped top that is kind of sweatshirt material by the brand twenty. Another option is going the fitted shirt route, something that can be tucked in and shows off your figure. As for accessories, don’t go overboard since the pants are the star of the show here and you don’t want too many distractions. For example, I am wearing a simple, classic handbag, sunglasses and a silk neck scarf that is also from Banana Republic. And there you have it! My tips for all of us petite women and how to wear culottes.Banana Republic Culottes How to Wear Culottes alys Beach Florida Culottes To Hell in a Handbag Banana Republic Neck ScarfNow before I head to the gym for a late night sweat sesh, we took these photos on our last trip to Florida. Alys Beach is one of my favorite communities on 30a. It’s just so darn beautiful with its all white everything and cute little shops. But one of my favorite things to see in Alys is the cobblestone bridge overlooking a tiny man-made pond made to look like a canal in Venice. It was getting dark when we got there so I apologize for the photo quality but I just had to share these with you. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you happen to be taller than 5’4 please feel free to share with a vertically challenged friend! Don’t forget to also check out Banana Republic as they have the cutest clothes, shoes and accessories right now and with code BRSAVE you can get 25% off until the 9th! Check out some of my faves below!

Those look super cute! Were they from the petite section? I really love how BR often has stuff in the store to try on.

Cute outfit! I love those shoes! I really struggle with the culotte trend but for me it’s because I’m taller than average.. So culottes on me often look like my pants are just too short for my legs!
