A Printed Shift and a Tassel Necklace

Tassel Necklace
A Printed Shift and a Tassel Necklace –

If you have been a reader of my blog for a while then it will come as no surprise that I am a huge fan of tassels and fringe and anything really that’s straight out of the 70’s. The necklace I’m wearing above comes courtesy of CS Gems who you may recognize from my interview with them. Right now they are offering my readers 15% off a piece of jewelry of their choice with code FASHION15 which you should definitely take advantage of because they have really unique jewels.

From their about page: “CS Gems is an online jewelry boutique founded in 2013. We search high and low and bring you handpicked beautiful vintage and vintage inspired repurposed jewelry at awesome prices. Our goal is “to make vintage modern again” by mixing our vintage pieces with today’s latest trends. We hope you will find the perfect vintage piece to go with your everyday style.”

Wearing a dress by PIOL c/o, DVF wedges, clutch: Target, tassel necklace: CS Gems c/o, sunglasses: Heaven & HelFyre, Turquoise necklace: Kendra Scott Elisa

Now you may notice that I combined pieces from the 60’s, 70’s, and today. I just had to pair this mini shift dress with the 70’s tassel necklace and last season’s DVF wedges and I think it all works perfect together! Full disclosure: After viewing the photos I decided that shift dresses really don’t work well on my body type. I’m petite but I also have a large bust. So if you are top-heavy like me you may want to steer clear of shifts in favor of something more form-fitting as the shift tends to make us women look a bit bigger than we actually are. So there you have my fashion tip of the day plus a fab discount code for some brand new jewelry. I hope you guys are having a fab week so far.

Until next time!

LOL, yeah with shift dresses I think you have to be tall and thin. 🙂

I love everything about this outfit! The colors, layered necklaces, THOSE WEDGES, and of course the 60s and 70s mix! I think you pulled that mix off flawlessly! I know what you mean about shifts – I sometimes feel I look like a linebacker in them because of my broad shoulders! 😉
