They also provide you with some of the amino acids your body needs and is unable to create itself.

  • Fats

Once again a food that is constantly in the firing line of public opinion. However, healthy fats are an important part of your diet because the high calories provide your body with energy which it uses to process vitamins and minerals as well as other things.

Healthy fats include nuts, vegetable oils, and seeds.

You won’t find many people telling you anything negative or overselling the role of vitamins in your diet. The body needs vitamins to support its functions and they can be found in their many different forms in fruits, vegetables and even by going out in the daylight.

  • Minerals

Similar to vitamins, minerals provide the body with some of its much-needed assistance in operating effectively. The minerals we are referring to include zinc, calcium and iron.

You should be able to get minerals from foods like red meat and milk. However there are supplements out there to assist as well.

  • Water

Finally, the thing that the body needs to survive. Your body will not be shy about telling you when it considers its water levels to not be at a comfortable level. Over 60% of your body is made up of water and it helps your brain function, mood and blood flow.
